What an absolute gem this place is. The views are incredible for starters. The cottage is so homely, and attention to detail is very high. FANTASTIC. It's definitely a home from home stay with everything you could possibly want and more. We took our puppy Radebee, who is an escape artist Simon and Katharine, have made the garden so secure no escaping for him. And the best of it, he made a new friend Daisy, the black lab. Looking forward to returning. So anyone looking for that special break look no further HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Gorgeous cottage, equipped with everything you may need in a holiday home. 5☆facilities, immaculately clean, peaceful and has amazing views over the Dee Valley from the living room and top bedroom. Welcoming hosts. On arrival we were shown around by Catherine and she left lovely treats for us in the kitchen. There was also complementary tea & coffee available. We couldn't have found a better location for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. It was perfect for outdoor activities, walks, and the nearby Llangollen has shops and restaurants. The cottage was much more spacious than we initially thought from the description, it has two bedrooms, and is very comfortable for a family with two adults and two children.

The location is absolutely beautiful. It has an open fire which was set for us on arrival, nice touch. I almost don’t want to write this review as we want the property to be available next time we book!

Have just enjoyed a four night break at Wagtails. Owners are welcoming and helpful. Well equipped cottage with comfortable beds. Walks across the fields to the railway track. Can see the steam trains from the bedroom window. Location is close to Llangollen, Horseshoe pass and Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Everything about Swallow Cottage was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to be self-sufficient, including a much-needed washing machine and the bedroom was cosy and comfortable. The view was spectacular. Simon was a delightful host, nothing was too much trouble. Swallow Cottage is by far the best accommodation we have had in the UK!

Very peaceful and quiet place for relaxing from the stressful cities. The views are beautiful. You can just relax with a book and enjoy the views.

Superb location and the accommodation was so clean, comfortable and very well furnished with more than you would expect for a self catering property. The hosts were really friendly and informative of the local area. The cottage and grounds were also excellent for our spaniel. We will definitely be back to this beautiful part of Wales.

Katharine and Simon were super welcoming! The cottage was cute and cozy. Brand new updated appliances and bath. The towels were luxurious! We also loved the welcome treats! The area is beyond beautiful- lots of things to see and do

Fantastic location with amazing views of the Dee valley and easy access to attractions in the area and slightly further afield to Conwy and Snowdonia. Accommodation was a modern luxury take on a traditional cottage, the best of both worlds.

We like everything! Stunning view, amazing amenities, strong internet, very nice, responsive and caring hosts. We didn't have an adapter for the outlet and they promptly ordered one from Amazon.
